FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT
Gary Nadler
As the Founder and Principal Consultant of LG5 Technologies, I bring more than four decades of experience across wireless communications, broadcast engineering, unmanned and counter‑UAS systems, and next‑generation technology development. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on bridging long‑term strategic vision with practical, real‑world implementation guiding complex engineering programs, pioneering new systems, and supporting mission‑critical initiatives for major corporations, government agencies, and national security partners.
I currently serve as a Senior Technical Advisor to a federal agency on Counter‑UAS initiatives, where I contribute to advanced detection, mitigation, and autonomous system strategies. My work is grounded in structural integrity and technical rigor, ensuring that every system I design or advise on meets the highest standards of reliability and performance.
Previously, I served as General Manager of Digital Systems & Affiliate Services for ABC Television and Disney Direct‑to‑Consumer & International. I led the development and deployment of major broadcast wireless systems, digital distribution platforms, HDTV and HEVC compression architectures, and the network’s first cellular‑based Digital News Gathering (DENG) system. My engineering leadership supported global events including large scale sports, news and entertainment productions.
My career includes pioneering research in drone detection and mitigation, designing industry‑first wireless digital systems, developing specialized technologies for government and enterprise clients, and contributing to advanced theme‑park attractions and immersive experiences. I’ve been honored with three National Academy of Arts & Sciences Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award for 9/11 coverage, an Edward R. Murrow Award, multiple Disney Innovation Awards, and patents in interactive entertainment, drone detection, and digital transmission technologies.
I hold a Master Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University, along with certifications in GPS systems, RFID/GPS tagging, and Scrum methodologies. I am an active member of PMI, SMPTE, AUVSI, AFCEA, IEEE, the Association of Old Crows, IAAPA, and ASIS, and previously served on the Executive Steering Committee of the National Spectrum Consortium.
Today, through LG5 Technologies, I continue to advise organizations on emerging technologies, complex system integration, and strategic initiatives shaping the future of communications, c-UAS, and broadcast engineering.
